Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge with deep respect that our clinic stands on the ancestral lands of the Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, and Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee) peoples—including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, whose stewardship of these waters, plants, and stories continues to this day.
As a place of healing, we recognize that this land has long been a space of medicine; where Anishinaabe knowledge keepers worked with sacred herbs like wiingashk (sweetgrass) and cedar, where Haudenosaunee healers shared the Thanksgiving Address, and where waters like the Holland River (Niizhozaaganan) carried prayers. We commit to honoring these traditions by listening to Indigenous voices, protecting the living land that sustains our work, and fostering relationships rooted in reciprocity. This acknowledgment is not static—it calls us to ongoing learning, action, and care for the earth that holds us.
