Life can be complex and challenging, and finding the right therapist is an essential part of meaningful and effective therapy. The therapeutic relationship itself is a powerful element of healing, and I am committed to offering a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space where clients feel seen, supported, and understood.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and am a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience. In addition to my work with the Newmarket Psychotherapy Team, I am an on-site therapist at Dimensions Retreats in the Algonquin Highlands, where I support Veterans living with PTSD.
My approach is primarily attachment-based, while thoughtfully integrating evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. I am an EMDRIA-certified EMDR therapist and use this evidence-based approach to help reduce the emotional impact of trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. EMDR can be especially helpful when individuals feel stuck in painful patterns, allowing space for greater clarity, relief, and resilience.
I am deeply committed to ongoing growth as a therapist, continually expanding my knowledge and refining my approach as both a clinician and a lifelong learner. Many of the therapeutic approaches I offer are ones I have also experienced as a client, which shapes my empathy and respect for the courage it takes to engage in this work. I would be honoured to walk alongside you as you move toward healing, balance, and greater peace.
